How we work
A Florida company, design only
Guacamaya Designs LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Florida, with registration details on public record with the Florida Division of Corporations.
We design and specify. We are not architects, engineers or licensed contractors: structural changes, electrical work, plumbing and anything needing a permit are designed and carried out by licensed professionals you engage, and we coordinate with them rather than pretending to replace them.

The questions we get most
Do you do construction work?
No. We design and specify, and we coordinate with the licensed trades doing the work. Structural and permit work is theirs, not ours.
How are furnishings paid for?
By you, directly, so you see every price. Our fee is for the design and coordination and is quoted separately in writing.
Can you work with my existing furniture?
Yes, and often that's the sensible route. We'll tell you honestly which pieces work in the new plan and which are fighting it.
Do you work remotely?
For planning and specification, often yes, with measurements and photographs. Installation and styling need someone in the room.
How long does a room take?
The design is usually a few weeks; the lead times on furniture decide the rest. We check those before anything is ordered.
What if I don't like the concept?
One revision is included in every scope, and we'd rather hear it at concept stage than after the sofa arrives.
